Manage or cancel a recurring donation

Go to Settings → My donations.

Your recurring donations and one-time giving history.

You'll find two sections: your monthly donations, and your one-time giving history.

Cancelling a monthly donation

1. Find the donation in the recurring section
2. Click Cancel
3. Confirm:

Cancel recurring donation? This stops future payments for this recurring donation. This can't be undone.

You'll see Your recurring donation was cancelled.

You don't need to ask anyone. Not the organization, not us. It's yours to stop, and it takes effect immediately — no further payments will be taken.

What cancelling does and doesn't do

Does: stops all future monthly payments, right away.

Doesn't: refund anything already paid. Previous months stay as they are. If you believe you were charged in error, see How to get a refund.

There's no "pause" — cancelling is the only option. If you want to start again later you'll need to set up a new donation.

Reading the statuses

A heading worth ignoring. The recurring section is titled Active recurring donations, but it lists all of them — including ones you've already cancelled. If you see something there you thought you'd stopped, check its status chip before worrying. Cancelled means cancelled.

If a payment failed

A Past due status almost always means your card expired or was replaced.

There's no way to update a card on an existing donation. Cancel the old one and set up a new donation with your current card.

Changing the amount

Not possible on an existing donation. Cancel it and create a new one at the amount you want.

Can't see a recent donation?

The list shows your most recent giving, and notes Only your most recent donations are shown when there's more. There's no way to page back further.
