Sign in to Gathrings

The two ways to sign in — email and password, or your Google account — plus what the extra confirmation screen in the app is for.

There are two ways into your account. Both land you in the same place.

With your email and password

On the sign-in screen, fill in:

  • Email or Username — either works. Most people use their email.
  • Password — the one you set when you first opened your account.

Then choose Log in.

With Google

Choose Log in with Google and pick your account. If it's the same email address as your Gathrings account, the two are linked and you land in your existing account — not a new one.

It's faster, and there's no password to remember. You can set it up later too, from your account settings.

In the app

Signing in from the iPhone or Android app opens a secure browser window to finish the sign-in, then hands you back. You may see "Sign in to the Gathrings app?" with a Continue button — that's the handoff confirming it's really you, on this device. Choose Continue and you're in.

Staying signed in

You stay signed in on a device until you sign out. On a shared or borrowed computer, sign out when you're done — the menu under your name has it.

Changing your password signs you out elsewhere. If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password and they're pushed out.

If it isn't working

The sign-in screen has a Forgot username or password? link underneath, which covers the most common case. For anything else, see the troubleshooting article in this section.
