Recurring events
Set a pattern once and let every date inherit it — weekly, monthly, or every other Thursday.
If your community meets regularly, create the series once instead of a new event every week.
In Date & time, switch Recurrence from One-off to Recurring. You need a start date first — that's the anchor the pattern is built from.
Set the pattern once. Every date inherits these values until you edit one on its own.
How often
Repeats offers Daily, Weekly, Biweekly and Monthly.
Every sets the interval on top of that — every 2 days, every 3 months — so you aren't limited to the four basic rhythms.
For weekly, pick the weekdays under On. You can choose several, so a group meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays is one series rather than two.
Monthly patterns
Monthly offers two ways of thinking about a date, and they behave differently:
- On day 15 of the month — a fixed number
- On the second Tuesday — a position, using first, second, third, fourth or last
Most community events want the second. "The first Saturday" stays put as a weekend; "the 5th" wanders through the week and eventually lands somewhere nobody can make.
When it ends
Every series needs an end date, and there's a one-year limit — the helper shows the furthest you can go.
That isn't a restriction on your group so much as a prompt to revisit. Plans change over a year, and a series running unattended into the far future tends to drift away from what people actually want.
Check the summary before saving
As you build the pattern, a plain-language summary appears:
Every other Tuesday until 30 June 2027 — 18 occurrences
Read it. The occurrence count is the quickest way to catch a pattern that isn't what you meant — if you expected a dozen and it says 180, something's wrong with the interval.
Editing a series
Each series has its own page listing every date, and each occurrence has a page of its own.
You can change the whole series or a single date. That's the thing worth knowing: if one week moves to a different room, edit that occurrence alone and the rest stay as they are.
Attendees see a Recurring badge, and on any single date, See all dates with the full list.
