Organization menu "Create Event" link 404s — page does not exist
## Bug On the organization page, the gear (settings) menu shows a **Create Event** option. Clicking it leads to a **404** — the org-level event creation page doesn't exist. ## Menu items visible (see screenshot) - Create Event ← **404** - Manage Members - Manage Rings - View Requests - Organization Settings ## Expected — pick one ### Option A — remove the menu item (recommended if events live under groups) If events are always created under a **group** (not directly under an org), this menu item should not exist. Remove it from the org settings menu and from any other org-level surface that links to it. Users create events from the group page or the global "+" / Create Event flow. ### Option B — build the org-level event creation page If creating events directly on an org is a planned feature, the route should exist before the menu item ships. Until then, the link should be hidden or disabled with a tooltip explaining why. Either way, **don't ship a menu item that 404s**. ## Reproduction 1. Open an organization page where you have admin permissions. 2. Click the gear icon → **Create Event**. 3. Observe: 404. ## Likely root cause Menu was wired up before the corresponding page (or the decision about scoping events to groups vs orgs) was finalized. Common in early product iterations — link references a route that no `page.tsx` ever implemented. ## Investigation - Grep the frontend for the menu item label (`"Create Event"` or i18n key) — find the component rendering the org settings menu. - Check the `href` it generates — likely `/organizations/{slug}/events/new` or similar — and confirm there's no matching `page.tsx` under `app/organizations/[slug]/`. - Confirm with PM: is org-level event creation a planned feature, or are events always group-scoped? That answers Option A vs B. ## Impact - Confusing for org admins — looks like a broken feature. - Low-cost cleanup either way (remove the link, or finish the page and re-link). ## Found by Manual testing
