Safari: password recovery / setup page repeatedly crashes (Authentik gathrings-recovery flow)

## Bug On Safari, opening the password recovery / setup page crashes the tab with Safari's "A problem repeatedly occurred" error. The user is stuck — the only option is to Reload Webpage, which fails again. The failing URL is the Authentik recovery flow: ``` https://auth-dev.gathrings.com/if/flow/gathrings-recovery/?flow_token=... ``` ## Expected The password setup / recovery flow renders normally on Safari, same as on Chrome / Firefox. ## Steps to reproduce 1. Open Safari (macOS). 2. Trigger a password recovery email from the Gathrings app on the dev environment. 3. Click the recovery link in the email — it opens `https://auth-dev.gathrings.com/if/flow/gathrings-recovery/?flow_token=...`. 4. Safari shows "A problem repeatedly occurred with …" and stops loading. ## Impact - Users on Safari can't complete password recovery or initial password setup. - Blocks new-user onboarding via email invite on Safari. - Invisible on other browsers, so easy to miss in QA. ## Suspected cause Authentik `if/flow` pages ship some JS that Safari is choking on (memory growth, infinite loop, SharedArrayBuffer / WASM, or an unsupported API). The "repeatedly occurred" wording is Safari's crashing-tab auto-recovery — usually caused by a crashing renderer, not a network error. ## Investigation starting points - Reproduce in Safari with Web Inspector open (Develop menu) and watch Console / Timelines for the error preceding the crash. - Check Authentik logs for this flow_token — did the backend actually return a valid response? - Compare the response payload / JS bundle served to Safari vs Chrome (User-Agent sniffing?). - Try Safari Technology Preview to see if it's a released-Safari-specific regression. - Check Authentik version + any recent upgrades on `auth-dev.gathrings.com`. ## Environment - Browser: Safari (macOS) — exact version TBD, please capture from `About Safari` when reproducing. - Host: `auth-dev.gathrings.com` (dev environment). - Flow: `gathrings-recovery` (Authentik flow slug). ## Found by User
