Discover map sidebar shows events from other cities, not what is on the map

The sidebar list on the Nearby/Discover map page shows events from San Francisco, New York, Washington, Barcelona, Austin etc. — but the map is zoomed into Montreal. The sidebar should show events that are actually visible on the map, not a globally-ranked feed. The issue seems to be that interest-based feed ranking is taking precedence over geographic location. On a map view, location should be the primary filter — show what is on the map first, then rank by interests within those results. Expected: sidebar list matches the map viewport (events visible on the map).\ Actual: sidebar shows a global feed sorted by interest ranking, ignoring the map bounds.
